Make 2014 Your Healthiest Year Yet!

Make 2014 Your Healthiest Year Yet!

Wow – 2013 has blown by! 2014 is practically here and now is a great time to reflect back on the year gone by and begin to dream big about the year ahead. It has been a great honor to contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients this past year, and we’d like to plant the following seeds for the year to come.

1. When you have your health, you have everything. When you do not have your health, nothing else matters at all. That oft cited quote from Augusten Burroughs couldn’t be more true. And no one is in a better position to ensure your health than you. How will you care for your health in the new year so that 2014 is your healthiest year yet?

2. The Mind is the New Body. In our physique-crazed culture, we spend a lot of time on the physical body. How it looks, how it feels, how it functions and how it ages. We are now in a time where we are beginning to understand just how important the mind is when it comes to our overall health and happiness. Like physical fitness, career progress and academic achievements, a good mindset is a great internal benchmark of our own personal success. And for those who are time-starved, overworked, stressed and anxiety-plagued (and who isn’t these days?), taking a break to de-stress provides much needed relief from the pressures of modern life. What will you do in 2014 to manage your stress, relax and feel good?

3. Create healthy habits that will last well into the New Year. This time in 2011, Essential Mind and Body was an idea on paper. In fact, we were still struggling with what to call our concept for integrative health and wellness! With a lot of hard work and the wonderful support of our patients, we made Essential Mind and Body a reality and we help hundreds of patients every week feel their very best. Being of service in this way is our dream-come-true and we get to experience it every day. What is your dream and how can we make it come true in 2014? At Essential Mind and Body, we want you to live your best life. One that excites you, nourishes you, and gives you the tools you need to be healthy in body and mindset. We look forward to being your partner in health for many years to come. Have a happy, healthy and safe holiday season!

Yours in good health,

Dr. Robert Koch
